Founded in 2001, the Armenia 2020 Project was an organised network of individuals committed to building a better future for Armenia. Participants included Armenians from around the world, both in Armenia and among the Diaspora, supported by other action-oriented professionals, researchers, experts and problemsolvers. The group purposely engaged individuals with widely differing backgrounds and views. The project commissioned extensive research on critical dimensions of Armenia’s future development.
Over 2,000 Armenians participated in the Project’s research, surveys, discussion groups, interviews and conferences, all directed toward understanding and shaping Armenia’s future. Research was conducted on 14 topics, including by the top global consultancy and many local think tanks. Four scenarios of country development were developed.
