The FUTURE ARMENIAN is a public initiative launched by Armenians and friends of Armenia from around the world. It strives to create a common framework of understanding around the sustainable development of Armenia as a country and Armenians as a nation. At a time of great uncertainty and urgent challenges, the initiative seeks to foster an international dialogue that can lead to a mutual understanding on a future vision of Armenia’s development. Given our long history of survival and revival, we bear a collective responsibility to envision the future of our nation and the path that will successfully lead us there. Considering the urgency of our challenges, we must do so now and must do it collectively.
15 GOALS
Fifteen goals have been developed collectively, with input from hundreds of our compatriots and friends of Armenia, to serve as pillars for Armenia’s development and to define the vision of Armenia’s future.
A series of public discussions and debates are to be held to raise awareness and provide opportunities to engage wider audiences and supporters. The objective is to allow broad outreach, participation and engagement on each goal to collectively discuss how best to reach them.
As of today, more than 100 000 people from various countries have joined the Initiative.
The FUTURE ARMENIAN was initiated by a group of 11 people: Yelena Abovyan, Noubar Afeyan, Artur Alaverdyan, Richard Azarnia, Aram Bekchian, Arman Jilavian, Talar Kazanjian, Armen Mkrtchyan, Armen Orujyan, David Tavadian, Ruben Vardanyan. It is funded by Noubar Afeyan, Artur Alaverdyan, Richard Azarnia, and Ruben Vardanyan.
